Zino Wey

Zino Wey, born in Basel (Switzerland) 1988 is a Swiss theater director. 


He has been working as a director at Münchner Kammerspiele, Schauspielhaus Zurich, Nationaltheater Mannheim, Schauspielhaus Wien, Konzert Theater Bern, Residenztheater München, Schauspiel Stuttgart, Maxim-Gorki-Theater Berlin/ Literarisches Colloquium Berlin, Ballhaus Ost Berlin, Kaserne Basel, Winkelwiese Zürich, Tojo Theater Bern, among others. Zino Wey is a part of the theater- performance collective GKW.

As assistant director at Münchner Kammerspiele from 2012 to 2014 he worked with such directors as Alain Platel, Johan Simons, Susanne Kennedy, Andreas Kriegenburg, Armin Petras and repeatedly with Sebastian Nübling.

2016 he received a scholarship at the Bergman Estate on Fårö (Sweden) an from Pro Helvetia in Cairo (Egypt). 

In 2017 and 2018 he was nominated as „newcomer Artist of the year“ in Theater Heute.
